It's amazing how a guy can get ranked P4P#3 after 2 of his last 3 fights being disputed decisions. How is a guy that is supposed to be P4P #3 become an underdog against a fighter who was knocked out cold 2 fights ago and beat a face first brawler in his comeback fight. It's not like he was fighting a bigger fighter, it was P4P, he's supposed to beat every fighter in the world outside of under jr middleweight outside of Mayweather because of his weight class. It doesn't make any sense, I can't remember the last time in Boxing history where somebody as wild and unpolished as Tim Bradley was all of a sudden giving so much praise. He can go back to being the good tough fighter he always was but he was never one of the best in the world P4P.
Don't try say Bradley was over-rated now that Pacquio beat him. Tim deserved his top 5 ranking after beating the fellow top 5 JMM clearly, and Bradley was 8-10 for quite a while before that anyway, most people say he has one of the best resumes in boxing today.
Because that fighter who was knocked out is a Top 50 ATG who showed he still has a lot left in the tank against Rios, although not as much as we'd lie him to have. Tim Bradley just bested an ATG who was coming off the historic KO win against another ATG. Tim Bradley is a 'very good' fighter and will beat all of the guys like Alvarado etc. and after he continues to win, he will be a 'future hall of famer'.
I'm not trying to take credit away from Pacquiao, he has always been better than Bradley. He proved it in the first fight, all I'm saying is how the hell is a guy going to get all the credit for a blatant robbery. And yes his resume is a good but it's not great, he ducked Khan outright and was dominated by Pacpuiao. Beating JMM is great but it wasn't like he dominated him. JMM never did anything over 135 worth a damn except having Manny's number. Mayweather dominated him and gets no credit, now that he's older he's supposed to be a win that puts bradley top 3 P4P makes no sense.
Where does Bradley rank now? Did he look like a top P4P fighter tonight? Was he legit? He never was in my opinion, Martinez got moved down after his fight with Murray yet Bradley gets moved up for a robbery then a gift against Prov.
Joe Louis was knocked out, so was Lennox Lewis, Leonard, Duran, Hearns, etc., it is very ignorant to believe that a fighter who loses one fight can never be any good...............
Sorry OP but you don't know **** about boxing. How can you call Bradley not legit when he beat Miguel Vazquez via wide UD, went to the UK and beat Junior Witter for the wbc jww belt, handed Lamont Peterson, Luis Abregu and Devon Alexander their first losses in convincing fashion. That was all before he even fought Manny, Ruslan, and JMM.
Miguel Vasquez? Who gives a ****. Abregu sucks too. He has good wins, nobody is disputing that. The point I'm making is how is he P4P # 3 yet he's underdog to a guy who is the same size as him and supposed to be washed up and gets beat clearly??? Did he deserve that P4P # 3 Ranking? I don't think he did.
Having Bradley ranked #3 P4P was a joke. He got the biggest gift in decades in the first Pacquiao fight and had a crooked referee save him against Provodnikov. He then acts like a nasty disrespectfull little **** during the prefight build up for this one. How could I forget: He already is making excuses about his calf. Bradley and all you dopes defending him deserve oneanother.
Jack Johnson was the reigning, feared Heavyweight champ. He was made the underdog by some against 6-year-inactive Jeffries. Does that mean Johnson sucks? No. It means the perception in the difference between them was dramatically off.
This guy might get it or he might just hate Bradley. IMO the point is Bradley was never P4P#3 in the world if you want to go by he beats everyone if weight wasn't the issue. Who gives a **** about Jack Johnson, that was about Jim Crowe not about real bookies making real lines. People bet with their faith that blacks were yellow cowards so the white man would always triumph.
It was more good riddance as a P4P top 3 fighter, the guy is one of the luckiest fighters in boxing history when it comes to praise and $$$$. I can't think of another fighters who has been fortunate enough to get gift decisions and still get big paydays and a top 3 ranking. As far as being a great fighter going forward who can he beat? Porter and Thurman have a great shot at beating Bradley Imo..Khan could still beat him, he can beat Broner and Maidana but he's in no way going to be a dominant welterweight champion. Top Rank is ****ed going forward because of his large minimum and him having 6 fans who pay for his fights.
