Good sparring from young prospects

    Devin Haney is a guy who Floyd snr said will take over from Floyd, and Shakur Stevenson a world youth champion.

    Stevenson is 18 and Haney is about to turn 17.

    I have a feeling that this vid will be watched a lot in years to come when they start making a name.

    yeah i like the look of Haney, i have him on socail media nad his sparring and training is coming along nicely.
    think he is one to watch but i hope he isnt hyped to earlier on in his career.

    Yeah, lots of hype about him. AT his age, it seems like a lot of pressure.

    Stevenson looks good too. Be interesting if he makes it to the olympics

    He won gold both the world youth championships and world olympic youth event.

    So that rather undercuts your point, doesn't it? Speaks rather well for the guy who beat him in the nationals, Ruben Villa.

    Stevenson badly outclassed the Brit Muhammad Ali, twice in international competition. Ali went on to do pretty well at the AIBA senior event recently.

    So it seems you don't really know what you're talking about.

    Listen youth and junior level is underage boxing. There's great youth boxers from every corner of the world that couldn't cut it at senior level, in face a relatively low percentage make the jump successfully.

    Ali is doing OK, he won silver at a severely weakened european championships and couldn't medal at a weakened world championship . His not setting the world alight mate

    Stevenson could turn out to be good but America gets its first good amateurs in about 10 years and are going mental over him when so far his shown he can't cut it at senior level. The fact I'm ripping std about this thread is because his only making it about Stevenson because his American. There are at least 30+ better prospects in the amateurs you could make a thread about than him. Heck Antonio vargas in America is more worthy of a thread

    He's not that small. More like featherweight-lightweight.

    Since he's only 18. He'll probably end up around WW eventually

    That haney kid is indeed talented but i've seen him get his ass whooped by the same guy like 3 times, a chicano kid I forgot his name

    Any youtube clips?

    According to Floyd Sr, Haney beat up Gervonta Davis in sparring.

    Lot of Hype around him, but it could well be that its just hype. Its hard to tell how good a kid is going to be when hes not even 17.
