Martinez won the first fight, but was robbed. Martinez knocked Williams out because he knew he would get cheated once again. The commentators bias proves it too.

To be fair, he starched him in the first round. Just sayin.

And no, I am not a PW nut hugger. I like both fighters a lot (Williams and Martinez)

As a middleweight, Williams is going to have more nights like tonight if he does'nt start to use his height and reach to his advantage.

  11. i definitely want to see a third fight. i think williams will be able to pull it off next time. he just needs a tune-up fight. there are plenty of good fighters out there. mayweather, pacquiao. pavlik. margarito in a few months. he should then rematch martinez. let martinez feel like a middle-aged man for a few months and then we can find out how hungry he still is. this could turn into a classic trilogy. he better learn to use his reach and height properly...

You were lucky that a little bit of your daddy's load didn't trickle down your mama's legs.

That shot was perfectly planned, timed and executed.

Martinez caught the punisher coming in and got his whole body behind what was probably the KO of the decade.

  13. some great boxers have suffered a knockout loss or knockout losses in their career. youre under pressure to come back strong and with a refined technique though. could be a good learning experience.

I thought Sergio was winning the fight tbh. It might have caught up with him in the later rounds fighting at that tempo with Williams but he was by far landing the more clean shots.

When Williams fights like that I think he's just not helping himself at all because a guy with shorter arms will get those punches in first if they are smart enough which Martinez is.

And what a knockout. Martinez is right up there with the best at the moment.

  15. damn. actually, he needs to fight a couple of journeymen before facing the better guys. the psychological effects of that punch could ruin williams.
