Read my posts I have said it was a bad tune up fight. My point is that Manny too has had alot of crap fights that people give him mad props for!

I dont agree May needs to go up in weight I dont know if I have even seen him come in at 147 yet it is usually 146 or below. As Leonard said he isnt a big WW but if he doesnt fight Pac man then Martinez is the only guy I see worthwhile fighting!

Berto doesnt seem like he has a chance in hell against Manny or Floyd and if he doesnt then them 140 boys definately dont either!

I have to agree. Floyd will only come back to #2 ranking if he get his urge back.

He will comeback in a few years to take on a faded warrior or a younger fighter with no power and movement like he does every single fight.

I will admit, I dont see how someone can be totally outraged with Martinez taking over mayweather p4p. Im not saying I personally subscribe to that, but it has its own merits.

Floyd fought ONE TIME in 2009, and ONE TIME in 2010. Two fights since the year 2007, and its going on 2011, with no word at all on Mayweathers future outside fights with females and security guards.

In that same amount of time (since 2007), Sergio has

    - Knocked out Cintron
    - Beat up Pavlik
    - Knocked out Williams

And has also fought and beaten 4 other fighters in impressive fashion

Not to mention he went from 154 to becoming the middle champion of the world. Which is one of the harder jumps to make in boxing, especially for someone who started below 154.

Martinez - 7 fights, with wins over Pavlik, Williams, Cintron, and capturing the middleweight title

Mayweather - 2 fights, against 135lber (or 130lb) JMM's only fight before or since above 135, and against Mosley, good win, but also who went on to fail to beat Mora.

I really think its closer then people want to admit. Mayweather cant just stay top p4p forever 'just because' hes Mayweather. Martinez's win over Williams is more impressive IMO then Mayweathers over JMM, and his Pavlik fight arguable eather way with the Mosley win all things considered (I have it a notch lower) and on top of that he fought 4 other fighters on top of that.

This is not as untouchable as many are making out.

    Just IMO

Before this fight, I think many people already had Sergio around 4-6 p4p... with Williams within that same area.

Even though I was sarcastic in my first post I can't disagree with you here. If he remains silent then he's as good as retired and shouldn't be on any P4P list anyway, why cover up other fighter's places when he's not fighting at all?, someone else deserve attention.

With that aside, if he fights and beats either Pac or Martinez he won't get any credit. Pacquiao will be microscopic sized and not a fair fight and Martinez will be crippled all of a sudden for being 35.

I agree, and I'm a big Mayweather fan. But he falls to #3, there is no denying Maravilla the #2 spot right now. He is the king of 2 divisions, Floyd isn't the king of any.
