In the last Month we've said goodbye to Arturo Gatti and Eric Morales. Since they both spent time at 130, who wins at 130? (It would be a God forsaken bloodbath whoever wins, I know that much!) :scaredas:
Gatti and Morales are different fighters, Gatti is not exactly a journeyman, but hes a B level fighter....Floyd called him a C level fighters but lets say B level for arguments sake....Morales in his prime was a top P4P fighter...
Well I certainly agree that Morales is head and shoulders above Gatti as far as boxing skills and legacy goes, but I think the fight would be pretty interesting. Morales only had one KO at 130 so it is highly unlikely that he would KO Gatti and Morales didn't mind taking a few shots to give a few shots so Gatti would land his fare share also. I would give it to Morales by UD.
Morales would probably win, although it's worth mentioning that Gatti was huge @ 130 and would be the bigger man in the ring.
Easy Morales Massive gap in class, I think he boxes and wins most rounds. Gatti was better suited physically at 130-135 but he still had a pretty pourous defence.
I gotta go with Gatti. Gatti would be in his prime and would be the bigger man and less ring worn while Morales is in his 3rd weight class older and more ring worn. Gatti was also a good boxer at this weight and I also doubt Morales could hurt Gatti at all at 130 and I think Gatti could hurt Morales. I'd say Gatti by SD.
Morales should be able to beat Gatti, by decision or possibly stopping him on cuts. Gatti thought would probably drain himself down to 130, but come in on fight night at about 143...lol...
