http://forum.garygoodridge.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=1830 " Kimbo looks to be a big strong man, that is overrated. I would bet money that I could force him over my knee. As big as he is, I am betting that I could spank his ass. This is not me blowing my horn. I myself asked for a fight with Kimbo, not two month ago and was turned down. Why? cause I was to experience for him. This is an individual this is having his record padded. Yes my friends Kimbo is a poof... A big strong looking guy, but can't dance with the big dowgs of this sport yet... My 8yr old daughter is looking for a fight. He might be a good for her. His first real test is going to be an old Tank. Lets see this fight first... " "Any candy-ass ****-head, that lets men do there talking for them... is just that. Tank fought anyone anytime like myself. Kimbo is not in the same class as Tank and myself... Tank and myself are not made up names... We fought for everything we got, anyone that was put in front of us. No one spoon feed him or myself with any opponent. We fought with courage and hart all the way, sometimes Yes we were stupid for doing the things we did. You can bet your last dollar we did not pad our win record. We my friends are the real deal. Now that there is money poring into it??? Who is to know what will happen now. I suspect Will soon fallow if not there already"
it was always a 50/50 with this guy's career...he'd either get his ass kicked , or the opposite...but yeah , he fought them all...he avoided no one...all the big names of mma & k1...sometimes there'd be surprises , (such as his major victory against Bernardo & the upset against carter williams in 2005 , also winning the hawaii gp in the process).. Personally , i think people are giving kimbo too much hate though...I mean , sure the guy is a nobody in the mma circuit , but 1 he's serious about it 2 Rutten himself , is helping him out with his training... Maybe he'll be a fast learner...I hope Tank (win or lose) will do his best to keep this one as entertaining asp... Kimbo's fight vs Mercer was ultra disappointing...and 10 sec fights aren't gonna do this guy any good...i hope this one lasts at least for the duration of the entire 1rst round.
Agreed. We need to see him sustain offense for a period of time. Nobody knows how well he has or has not developed. He certainly has a solid trainer behind him.
