Real shame.

We can all think what we want of high end promoters with huge financial backing but the small hall show promoter it really is a labour of love to stay in the game for as long as he did.

Helped develop some stars of the future and one sentence for sure in the piece above there was no money in it for Steve Goodwin.

I worked a corner of the main event at his final show at the York Hall earlier this month. A big loss to up and coming boxers and the small hall circuit. I believe Steve is still going to manage a few fighters though.
