Goosen: Dzind, Cotto, Mosley, Pavlik, Hopkins have all been targeted for punishment

This is old news. Kelly was actually preparing for the Williams fight when he was informed it would be Hopkins instead. So, he must have thought it was done deal and he must have thought that because of word from Arum. Believe it or not, I'm taking this from people close enough to Kelly's camp to know his training schedule.

 

Dude, you're a way biased Pavlik fan so of course you will say that Williams turn down the fight cause of money issue. Like i said in my other threads is that Jim Lampley who is way more biased bandwagon Pavlik fan even said Pavlik vs Williams didn't happen cause Pavlik feels that beating Williams won't do anything cause people will say he beat a welterweight. And Lampley said that way after Arum saying Pavik will fight Hopkins instead. So far 2 title defense by Pavlik has been against fighters that are c minus fighters. And now Pavlik will likely faced the worse fighter in 5 ko Mora.

I like Williams to outwork Winky. But lately, that "most avoided" label has ended in some truly nasty ass whippings for its owners. I hope he doesn't really believe all of the garbage Goosen is babbling and just stays focused on his work.

 

Last time. Pavlik had started preparing for the Williams fight. This comes from people close enough to Pavlik to KNOW. Not GUESS, not SPECULATE and NOT picked up from some guy on TV. Pavlik made the statement Lamply picked up on AFTER the fight was off and Hopkins was on. It was NOT the reason for the switch. Hell, we just found out how little Pavlik actually knows about WHO Arum is negotiating with. Pavlik and Loew both heard about Mora from a reporter calling to ask about it, and that was a day after it was discussed on this forum. And you think I am biased? atsch Sometimes the story lines aren't too hard to separate from the bull**** at all if you know WHO to listen too. :yep

 

Nothing wrong with a little hyperbole- hell, if I were promoting Paul Williams, I'd probably exaggerate some things too because he's still a hell of a fighter at the end of the day who deserves some more press and exaggeration is a typical promoting tactic. As long as Paul doesn't pull an Andy Lee and let the hype get to his head, he'll be fine. I think the first Quintana fight was enough of an eye opener for him to completely refocus, so that shouldn't be a problem now.
