my thoughts on pavlik is he should have thrown his name into the smw tourney....get his reputation back after the hopkins fight....middleweight is a dead division at the moment.....whats there to do at middleweight....williams is a multiple weight champ, and one of the most talked about fighters in the boxing circles, more so then pavlik...williams should get a large share of the pot...

whats wrong with a 52-48 split in favor of pavlik.....similar to the hatton/pac fight.....

Williams is actually approaching Pavlik with something. He is actually trying to fight the guy.



Cotto won't even say Williams name in public. If Cotto ever approached Williams with anything remotely resembling an offer, Paul would slap his ass and fight him on the spot.

 

Cotto barely called out any fighters. When Arum gave Cotto a choice between Cintron, Berto, Clottey in june, Cotto choose Clottey in which shows Cotto ain't afraid of any fighters. Cotto would fight Williams if Arum choose between Williams, Cintron, Berto.

 

Don't give me this **** about Cotto not calling out fighters. He has all the mouth in the world when it scomes to talking about Pac and Floyd, and talks about how he would love to fight margo again some day. But mention Williams? <<crickets>>

Dude Cotto choose to fight Clottey instead of Cintron and Berto in which Arum told Cotto which of the 3 fighters Cotto like to fight. Thats got to tell you Cotto is not afraid of any fighters. Clottey is mostly like Williams that many people don't want to fight.

 

Pavlik vs PW is a great fight, but it seems even HBO wants to let this one for later.

Probably if PW beats Sergei and Pavlik beats Sturm there will be a considerable demand for this matchup.

 

Williams has not proven himself to be a draw at all. Williams is in no position to be demanding 50-50 with Pavlik who is a huge draw and sold out Atlantic City vs. Gary Lockett.

Al Haymon and Goossen ought to learn how to build their fighters into being gate attractions instead of over demanding what their fighters are worth.

 

It's not Cotto's style to call out fighters, he is a lowkey, man of few words, throwback type. The quiet man. But when he speaks he speaks the truth. He said he wanted to fight fraud who ducked him. Williams is not on his radar as it's not really the right time for it, there are other options for Cotto. But if the time ever comes for Cotto to fight Williams and it's the fight everyone wants, you can be sure Cotto will rise to the challenge. Cotto is a man of honor and would never duck anyone.

Clottey says Williams ducked him twice last year. Let's see Clottey vs Williams.
