Williams is nobody at 160 and appearing only at WBO at 154 . . . so he doesn't deserve to get 50/50 against a 160 title holder.

IF he doen't leave Goosen . . . he is ****ed up.

 

Ring Magazine Williams is top 3 of the middleweight rankings.

 

And he's #4 on that same Fight News Ranking.


And he's in the P4P Top 10.


Not saying he is as accomplished as Pav at MW, but he ain't exactly a "nobody" either.

 

I love the way that your point of view changes with the fighters...Bottom line is who gives a **** were the ABC groups rank fighters??? Did you see the guys that are ranked in the top 10??? Its a joke.

Your statement about Pavlik being the established belt holder could also apply to Pac vs Cotto right??? But it doesnt because your views change with fighters. 50/50 is fair, and if Pavlik wants to fight then take the 50/50. If not he can fight the Mora's, and Rubio's in the world and go the way of Sven Ottke:good

I agree 50/ 50 is unfair to Pavlik who is clearly the bigger draw and the champion at the weightclass but Paul Williams at this point has a better resume then Pavlik. Margarito, Quintana, Phillips, Winky.......

 

i have said it should be 52-48 split in favor of pavlik......

look hatton was the champ when he fought pac...and took the smaller split.....

williams is one of the most talked about fighters amongst boxing fans at the moment and is on a roll, and has cult following which is being underestimated by some.......he is a multiple weight champion, which pavlik is not......paul is ENTITLED to a large portion of the split....and if i was team williams i wouldnt go lower then 45%

 

Ive been a guy that talked about Pavlik before anyone eles even knew who he was, He didnt have any fans when I was talking him up. I defended him time and time again...But for whatever reason the fights arent getting made. I was right with guy like Booradley with the AA stuff, but now we have seen AA sign up for that touney, and pavlik is still doing the same crap. Saying that its everyone eles that is stopping fights from taking place. At some point when its the same guy you have to start looking at that guy. Im starting to look at Pavlik:admin

Yup a ring belt holder who hasn't beat anybody with a damn after he defeat Taylor twice. Williams has been on a hot row 4 fight winning streak. 3 were by ko's.

 

hell, at the moment i even feel williams should get more money then abraham vs pavlik....

people are underestimating how actually "big" paul williams is in boxing circles.....while pavlik has kinda had a dent in his reputation.....you figure he would be eager after the rubio fight to get his confidence back up, and take on a elite guy....but no hes not....arum is not stupid, he knows the the limitations of his fighters....look at chavez,jr. and cotto as prime examples....

Bottom line . . . Ring ratings or 160 lbs stature . . . Williams is still below Pavlik. And team Pavlik has the right to tell team Williams to go **** themselves. :deal :yep

 

Wright even right now is 100 times better then Lockett and Rubio and i bet Wright would beat Sturm who Pavlik wants to fight next but hbo would only offer that fight 2million dollars in which it might 50/50 split for Pavlik vs Sturm.
