Brewster, Peter, Oleg.............I see them all beating Arreola.

Arreola's train is about to be stopped.

    Toney, Briggs, McCall.

    All beat Arreola.

Toney had the Ruiz title for a while, so I think that may qualify him as a former HW champion to Goosen, who is trying to hype the fight.

Oh yeah, Ruiz, too. He also beats Arreola.

The thread title is about Arreola facing a former world champion, not a former HW champ. But I suppose Toney has never been a champ in your eyes anyways, not at MW, SMW or CW. It's you who is getting desperate - desperate to discredit Toney by any means.

If Toney has anything left he should beat Arreola. Arreolas style is tailor-made for Toney - the last thing to bother Toney with is power. Even the faded version of Toney, that we saw in his last fight, would beat Arreola at this point. I hope Toney gets this fight - the man is a legend and deserves one last hurrah before retirement.

Maskaev has no chance. He is old and shop worn.

For those suggesting that McCall, Briggs, Toney, or Peter beat him are delusional.

Brewster would be an interesting fight also but in the end I think it will be Maskaev.

i know you love your man bro, but he's done now and he will not beat any young hungry fighter out there....arreola has power, but dont forget that he can also box...and toney is not one to pressure, so it'll be chris' night all night....

unless of course toney catches him with one of those right hand counters, but we all know he lacks power at heavy, especially coming in out of shape...

Oleg would also be good to see.

His power would drop Arreola mid rounds.

freddy, do you think arreola just looks like that or do you think that he might be a bit averse to road work and conditioning?
andas a HW, do you think that its important for arreola to tighten up on his conditioning?

i dont think he just looks like that, i think he's lazy....when my friend use to spar him back in the day, he looked great, not cut or anything, but he did look rock solid...now he has rolls everywhere....he got so use to ko'ing guys early that he just ignored most of the conditioning part of his training.......

hopefully he sticks with a good nutritionist casue chris has a bright future...

Arreola hasn't faced any legit top 15 hws. He's already been down, has severe defensive liabilities and major conditioning problems.

Showing up out of shape, taking punches in the face and trying to bang out everyone is a good way to be out of boxing quickly especially in the hw division.

Those type of issues will always make him susceptible to losing to any legit ranked hw. Abusing your body like that will catch up with him.

Arreola has no problems getting into slugfests. Guys like Peter and Brewster excel at this cause they have a lot of power and excellent chins proven at the top level. These guys have faced the Klitschkos and other top level opposition. Arreola's best opponent to date is a badly faded Mccline. To hype Arreola up more than a top hw prospect is seriously reaching.

you pretty much described the whole heavyweight division :rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl

arreola is young and undefeated though, so he'll beat anybody in his way until he gets his shot...
