If Kelly asked Arum for his balls back Arum would slap him and say" you know Aurther Abraham has them, now lets try to get the skinny welterweight.
Abraham? You mean the cat that lived off the left overs of Raymond Joval and Bronco McKart? Ya -- I'm sure KP was scared spitless.
Co-signage. Arum knows that PW puts another L on Pavlik's record. No point in letting that happen unless it's on Arum's terms...
I don't need to reread the thread or go down 'that road'. This stuff gets changed ALL the time. Quit pretending it is written in blood and HBO can't change their mind. But given the two options, which was better for bargaining? Arum getting the purse or Goosen getting a date? If this 'date' is so important, why didn't HBO give Goosen the purse too and make Top Rank be the one that comes begging? :think Little doubt in my mind who is in the 'driver's' seat.
Pavlik-Williams would fall on October 3, a date previously reserved by HBO for a Williams/Arreola doubleheader. If the two sides for Pavlik-Williams are unable to reach an agreement, Williams will probably return on that date, on HBO, against WBO 154-pound champion Sergei Dzinziruk [or an alternative]. Dzinziruk is now being co-promoted by Golden Boy Promotions. Prior to the negotiations with Williams, Pavlik was already on schedule to return on October 3 at the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City. If the Williams fight is a no-go, and an alternative network date is not secured, Pavlik's next fight would be showcased on a Top Rank pay-per-view card. and quit pretending KP has a 3 fight deal with HBO when his next fight could be an Indie PPV.
Go back and read boos sign. This is as simple as PWilly tryin to secure his retirement. Hes gonna need a nice nest egg for when Pav is done with him.
Again, I see nothing in blood. And just because we don't have a link to the article doesn't mean it never happened. Believe what you want.
Opinion only until it happens. HBO has changed things plenty of times in the past and will again in the future.
