Pav's fans said Calzaghe never wanted Pav, and since Cal beat Hop, and JT did also, Pav's people thought they could beat Hop, only they really didn't, but Arum did. Pav and his people were forced to take this fight in a way because they did not want AA at 160, and wanted to pick on the older Cal and Hop. Hop showed his ass didn't he lol...

That's correct, but it does not change the fact that AA has never been in the ring with ANY world class fighter. Pavlik beat better fighters as a prospect and contender than most of the guys AA defended his title against. Arthur made most of his title defenses against guys like Demers, Shannon Taylor (knocked out by Raymond joval), Elcock, Simon (living off McKart's left overs,) Oral (last 5 opponenents = 35 losses.) Arthur "the can killer" Abraham; I'm sure Pavlik was scared spitless:patsch

Ring Magazine has PW at #3 at 160. That's to low. He would handle Sturm and Sylvester convincingly.

Come on now, you know it's was deeper than that, you are just plain hatin' Pav cause you're a huge AA fan. Calz called out Pav first and then changed his mind so Pavlik didn't have many other options other than Hopkins. Saying that Pav was scared of AA and would rather fight Calz and Hops(who by the way were more skilled and bigger than AA) is pure nonsense:nut.

There were several offers to Sauerland for an AA fight-Take it from someone who knows! I don't get my news out of the local paper!loL LOL LOL The Hopkins fight is what it is, for many reasons KP lost. Williams gets ***** slapped time and time again by Quintana an average 147 lb. at best! AA 's name never even comes up if the judges/referee get the first miranda fight right! LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL All the fans want to see PW and KP- the most "feared" (insert coughing sound here-LOL LOl LOL) man in boxing it's time to step up to the plate! LOL LOL LOL LOL
What are you a 14 year old girl? LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL

You give 'it' to much credit. If this fight comes off, my son and I want to go to AC and see it. PM me with a good place to stay for for Friday/Saturday.

Pavlik/Williams is not going to happen. Goosen has been preparing to back out for a couple days now. He launched a propaganda campaign that makes that obvious. We'll probably see Pavlik/Green on October 3rd. It's on the scene.

I don't think Paul's promoter can go to team Pavlik and say "look, Pavlik is a ***** and so is his promoter. Pay us what we're worth", to get what they want. Even if you think Williams deserves to get more than 50-50, a 50-50 deal wouldn't be bad for Paul. Do you think Williams should back out if they offer him a 50-50 deal?

He doesn't need him at all? I disagree. A fight with Pavlik is a good fight for Williams and many fans would be excited to see those two square off in the ring. And we know what difficult time Williams has getting good fights, cause many fighters seem to avoid him. So I don't see how a fight with Pavlik is not tempting at all for Paul.

Pav's followers don't run the show and won't make any deal about no fight.

My dad and his business partner usually do a bus trip. JSimps has gone They leave Friday(In time to make the weigh in) come back Sunday-It includes Transportation, T-shirt and hotel. It's a reasonable price, however the hotel is off the strip, although only a mile or so. You are on your own for the fight ticket. Hopefully this thing gets done, but the longer it drags out.......

Thanks for the info. Doesn't sound bad. I generally walk/jog up to 16K so a mile off 'the strip' ain't a biggie. I just have to find out if the wife wants to go. She won't want to do the fight, but thats OK. I'm sure she can amuse herself for awhile.

I'm pretty convinced Goosen is all hot air on this one though. I won't be surprised if it falls through at all. Still, KP has a date to fill and I have some vacation time I have to take. :D
