where is young fella big strong slick good skills never fit enough but got all talent in world can he come back does he want to soft spot for this fella dont get hard on yourself if your reading your a father you lost to men who young talented also they have no family they can put more time into it than you but you can come back from it if you put in work but i have feeling hes thinking of his family when hes being hit
Never rated him myself and called the Dubois mid rounds stoppage. Not enough pop for a heavyweight and you need an equalising punch up there. Always comes across as pleasant enough though.
He fought well at times against Wardley but I think that defeat - particularly losing in round 3 - would have really knocked his confidence. He needs to find his level otherwise will end up just another Dave Allen. He should fight Alen Babić.
He was too lazy and out of shape to even make a good go at even winning the British title He either becomes a journeyman type or he retires. That Wardley loss looks like being the nail in the coffin. Getting blown away like that early against someone as basic as that shows he is miles away from making a good career from the sport.
but if he was fitter would be slicker he is a slick boxer lets not pretend hes not a good boxer hes just to fat as other fella says heart lacking maybe if he could get out road of punches he would be better he wouldnt need the heart as much he could get out the way
He started his career quite well he then had that crunch contest against dubious got flattened since then his career has really gone downhill I don't think he's ever going to achieve anything now in boxing even British belt or commonwealth which is a shame as he did look quite good early on
He's John McDonnell without as much heart. He ballooned up to 23 stone. For someone doing this full time that's unforgiveable. He's naturally endomorphic but that just means he needs to train more and diet better. One of the nicest, most respectable people in the sport who is a credit to travellers for how he conducts himself. And still only young. But I think he might be too nice for boxing. His brother has just turned pro recently, be interested to see if he learns from his brothers mistakes. He did show some heart in trying to attack against Wardley though. I'd like to see him box on and do well but he has never been in shape, he's a 230lb man tops if he diets. I agree he can be a lovely boxer to watch.
To be honest mate, I was just attempting to post without any punctuation. Harder than it looks! What I said I believe though and he does seem like a nice fella like you say.
He seems a real likeable, decent family man who comes across very well in interviews. Unfortunately that said, if you want to compete for a British title, you're going to be doing it against very dedicated athletes who have top level S + C, nutritionists and a whole lot more. He clearly has a bit of natural ability but it's hard for that to shine through when you're coming in so out of shape.
If this, if that. It’s hard to say. You critique Ruiz for being a slob but see the potential in Gorman, who has less skills, worse fitness, less hand speed and certainly less pop. Appreciate the sport is built on opinions etc but the lack of narrative at times seems foolish.
SeanB1 once again, nails it on the head. Apart from the Audley prediction of course…coming from the man who was convinced that David Haye would sleep Wladimir ffs
