I guess Vic just isn't the same after Donaire dropped him.

    Vic won the fight, IMO.

Gorres just hasnt enough punching power.

Z could have finished the fight in the middle rounds.

    Tsk, tsk.

And BTW, Gorres has got an 80 year old man's knees. Somebody give the man some balut?

Good effort though. Thanks for almost winning, Z.

yeah, thats what it thought too. The ref did a poor job in that fight. too many fouls being committed and not a warning was given. it was actually unfair for both camps since it really affected their game. the draw was fine, because a rematch in a better venue and officiating is neede to settle this one.

It was a Fair decision. Yes, Gorres was downed a coulple of times but he was only legitimately kd twice in round 9 and round 8(but was not counted). His rd 1 kd was counted but is definitely not a kd from a punch. And those kd's are not punch on the buttons unlike the kd suffered by Darchinyan in rd 2 where he was squarely hit on the jaw.

Though I'm not impressed with Darch performance, I believe he would have won that match against Gorres.
    I scored 114 - 111 for Darchinyan.

no it wasnt a fair decision. because of that dumb ref ruined the fight.

gorres did nothing from 6th upto the 12th, im not impressed with his performance, and he lost that damn fight.

as for darchi , well hes still the same fighter with that " ****** Stance " throwing wildly, though he just got lucky gorres was not a good finisher and has a poor stamina to go 12 rounds. No jabs, his movements were poor,no laterals, he just rely on his wild left bombs.

bottomline here is, Donaire will KTFO Vic again in a rematch.

Calm down people, I didn't know that but it has nothing to do. I was not suggesting that Vic would get robbed in the Phillipines for Chrissake, just that Darchinyan would have more problems controlling the fight against Gorres for 12 rounds in the Phillipines... There are many studies about the homecrowd support on the success of the local fighter and the unsuccess of a foreigner - it plays an important role in most fighters' confidence and nobody could count that out after Darchinyan knocked out Glen Donaire and got knocked out by Nonito.

    I scored likewise...

Dar walked through that boy the second half of the fight.

But what's shocking is, as bad and amateurish as Dar's moves are, that Pinoy boy's stance is even worse. It's so friggin' wide, everytime he dips or slips, he's got no base and even the slightest nudge from Dar was keeling him over.

Circa - The ****** stance call is amusing as it is accurate.

I would just like to see him box behind a jab more and set up the left hand - He stalks way too much and beleives in his power more than any fighter I can think of going back to pre-Phillips Tszyu.

He needs to just go back to sticking with the right and banging the left down after a couple of doubles...

I watched the fight today, Darchinyan was robbed.. even the biased Filipino announcers admitted it. But it still wasn't an impressive performance by Vic and his weak chin was exposed once again. He was dropped and hurt by light punching Gorres, who was scared of him for most of the fight and couldn't finish him when he had him hurt. I also don't think Darchinyan's power is as good as people thought it was, especially now at 115. His last two performances prove it.

vic has no jab. he uses that right in a nakward position just like a measuring stick not a jab, see the clip of vic being KTFO by Donaire, he just stretch his right hand to set up his left straight which is very predictable thats why donaire has no difficulties on countering him vic is very 1 dimensional.

then after being KTFO, im expecting him to do some adjustments, but unfortunantely hes still the same. :-(

and huki was right, his weak chin was exposed again by a less puching power in gorres. IMHO i think the higher the weight class he step up his weaknesses and capabilities were being exposed.
