Gossen: Bute should look for someone not comming of a loss

If Bute fights and beats Direll right now everyone will say he beat man who`s not even Top 10.

Kessler and Ward will both avoid Bute this year so the only man good for him remains Froch.


But as you see , some could say is beat.

If you`re clearely beat in the tourey final that`s not anulying you beat Pascal, Taylor, Abraham and Johnson.But of course Ward team wil not say "WE`RE AFRAID TO RISK A BEAT FROM THE SINGLE MAN WHO CAN MAKE US 0-1 SO WE DRIVE THE ATTENTION TOWARDS BUTE OPPONENTS TILL THE FIGHT WE`LL BE ANAVOIDABLE""

Bute should fight Froch at all costs and stick to Ward`s resume.Look at Paquaio fighting and beating clearely Money`s former opponents.

 

Let`s see what belt keeper will fight Direll until he`s in the first 10.

 

Nothin about Ward wanting to face Dirrel next? It's to much of a risk for his belts , or what? He's acting like Pacquaio , trying to fight boxers he already beat , instead of wanting to fight the best fighters left in the division.

 

Balzsay is a former WBO champ and now current WBA regular champ and Markussen is a fair opponent and has done more at SMW than many in the current top 10

I would have to favour Markussen. I have never rated Magee, but he does have some good victories, just feel Magee would never beat any of the real top fighters.
I remember Magee was due to fight Calzaghe in a voluntary, but M Veits people stopped the fight I believe

Nothing degrades a win. A win is far better than a loss. Besides I dont think Kessler was the best win. Eubank and Hopkins rank higher to me and other fights like Mitchell and Reid arent too far away. I guess you still cant get over Kessler losing to a brittle handed, past best fighter, on the way to moving out of a division.
