ok i see where your coming from bout him choosing to fight pac. but what where your thoughts when he moved up to 160 to fight sturm & hopkins. you got to give the man some kind of credit. delahoya is not what he once was we all no that, so why not go out with a bang.:hi:
To fight Sturm and Bhop he moved up 1 weight class. Pac is moving up 2 possibly 3 and each of those weights he has never fought at
well to most people on this site he was given a gift decision against sturm and quit against hopkins. so basically accomplished nothing there
Ok he may have moved up 1 weight class FOR THOSE FIGHTS but all in all he was coming from 135lbs :deal
that is not the point. im a dlh fan but can admit he lost to sturm. what im saying is he stepped up to the plate with out getting any credit.
he moved one division at a time while has just had his first fight at 135 so hes basically moving three divisions up. and if somehow DLH loses his career will end up in shame.
Because he should be fighting someone his own size and age like Winky that's why. A fight that would actually mean something and he would get props for taking even if he lost.:deal
He should go out with a bang. He should fight Margarito since he is coming off a great win against Cotto and we all know it will be a sick fight.
yh but to alot of people who will never change their minds he quit against hopkins and so complete discredit his performances up there, but your right he moved up from his start weight a ridiculous amount and should get alot of credit
No he shouldn't Margo is doing his thing at 147 we don't need Oscar getting in the way of good fights there. Like I said in an earlier post he needs to fight someone his own size and age and that would be Winky he would do wonders for his legacy win, lose or draw.
i really dont get why Dlh is taking this fight hes always been a smart guy doesnt he figure that this fight is a lose/lose situation if he wins he beat a small guy if he loses his legacy takes a big hit.
DLH was a natural 135, but one who had one of those sorts of frames for moving up. He had been at 154 for a long while and moved up one division. He was a natural 154 at that point and actually met Hopkins at a catch-weigh of just below middle. Pac started his career at flyweight, and although he's outgrown that now, he's probably still a natural 130/135. He hasn't accomplished anything yet at 135 having just moved up so to jump another 2 divisions to 147 is ridiculous, especially when DLH wouldn't even weigh in at 147 and would top 165 probably come fight night.
