    So there is technically "under" the division - welter is anything above 140 up to 147, for example. It just so happens the majority squeeze down and come in at 147

    Catch weights and big fights between different sized stars would probably still happen, though

    They allowed Ray Leonard to fight for Donny Lalonde's light heavyweight belt at a catch weight, but Leonard was still unable to make weight.

    He weighed in for Lalonde fully clothed with weighted pockets and came in at 165.
