I can relate, i want to drop weight to fight in a weight class i feel good fighting in. my sudgestion would be to really focus on diet and look at cutting carbs as much as possable or the way you get them. this works for me.

I can't stand it when I here people say cutting carbs. It's total bs. If you are training hard, and proper, you don't want to skimp on the complex carbohydrates, period. If you were a true carnivore, like a cat or something then yeah I can see not eating any carbs because you would not need them. Carbs are where you draw most of your energy from so you can train like a mad man. Eat carbs, train like a beast, and see where you get. That is the best you can do.

cook up/ serve yourself your normal meals and then scrape half in the bin and eat the rest. I'm not being a smart arse here, if you're trying to get back in to a routine after not keeping weight in check for years this is the most simple way of reducing calories. It doesn't involve changing eating habits or not having this or that. Just eat less.

If youre cutting your calorific intake in half your gonna drop weight

Under these circumstances I'd just say train hard and eat clean and you're bound to lose a few kilos in the process. In this case especially, it's more important to feel healthy and strong than to be under a certain weight. Focus on your conditioning, eat healthy and get in the best shape you can, you will lose weight.

if your fighting white collar there will prob be no weigh in, dont train to lose weight, train to get into good condition so you can swing like a novice for 3 two minute rounds
