If Floyd fights like that against Pacquiao , he'll get put to sleep.

At first i thought floyd ud 8-4/9-3 something like that, now im thinking he will have difficulties figuring pac out because he is so werd and throws so many punches. But I still think he edges it close if it goes to points. Despite a cut or something floyd will not stop pacquiao. On the other hand I now think after Pac-Margo that manny can stop floyd, he will be hit with bombs for 12 rounds, I now believe manny stops him in 7 rounds.

i still don't see where people make the claim judah gave him trouble

if they cling to the off-balance flash KD as come kind of proof...they must have forgotten how he totally outclassed judah in the fight as a whole, and was basically playing with him..but haters gotta hate

absolutely. I've been saying this for years. Floyd doesn't have the style to beat Pacquiao. He's too cagey and he fights aggressive against southpaws. He can't take Pacquiao's punches over the long haul either. Mid-late round stoppage is what it is.

People overrate Judah's performance of how dominating Floyd usually is. He's fighting shut-outs in nearly all of last fights.

Zab did throw some effective punches early in the fight because Floyd is so accustomed to fighting in a shoulder roll, leaving him open to straight lefts and Zab had the speed to counter him a few times.

I think people just assume Zab landed on him, so Pacquiao will land, too.

Not really. If you look at the way Floyd fights sotuhpaws stylstically, you can see all the problems Pacquaio presents. Then you factor in Floyd's relucatance to throw punches, and habit of coasting through fights, and not being the toughest fighter out there. You need to have intangibles as well as great boxing skills to beat Pac. Gotta outthink him and be tough enough to weather the storms. Floyd at this stage won't look to do much more then shoot off a right hand every now and again and turtle up whenever Pacquaio closes in. You can't beat Pac fighting like that. Even the younger Floyd who fought Corley would gotten himself caught too many times and put away. Today's Floyd is way more cautious to a fault, and only looks to potshot . Pac would expose that style. There's a good reason Floyd hasn't fought him yet , and probably never will and he knows it better than anyone else.

I don't think it's as simple as, Pacquiao may cause him trouble because Mayweather has had problems with southpaws before. I don't believe his southpaw stance will be the major hurdle for Mayweather, like say it was for a couple of rounds against Judah. Pacquiao's in and out movement, combined with his speed will be the major factor in this bout for Mayweather...and will he be able to cope with it.
If he decides to fight aggressively on the front foot, just because Pacquiao is a southpaw...I believe he will be in trouble (although Mayweather never ceases to amaze me).

What I'm trying to say is...Pacquiao is a very, very unorthodox southpaw, and I don't believe that just because his stance is that of a southpaw, that Mayweather will have trouble...but, he will find himself in trouble if they go into the ring with a gameplan centred around Pacquiao being a southpaw though.

One thing you fail to think about is how Floyd will fight Manny! You don't have a clue as to how he will do it! He is the smartest fighter in that ring and he has the tools to give Manny fits! He has a laser quick jab that can offset Manny's speed and his feet are just as fast as Manny's plus he has the foot work to take away Manny's so called angles! Add to the fact that Manny has never seen a fighter like Floyd with great hand speed, reflexes and that perfect timing!

I look at it like this:

Manny's hands are as fast as Floyd's

Manny's feet are faster than Floyd's

    Manny hits harder than Floyd

Manny's chin is better than Floyd's

    Floyd has trouble with southpaws

    Floyd can be outworked

Floyd can go into his shell and be negative and defensive against dangerous opponents

All this points to a Pacquiao win.

Thaths kind of my point as well, Floyd has great qualities but he needs to figure out manny to get hsi timing going and start dominating rounds, but in the early rounds he will need to take same heavy hits and combos to figure it out, Pac will be all up in his face, floyd is awesome inside but if he fights him like how he did with mosley he is getting tko´d. So before he figures him out he wil lose some rounds, but how many? Pac is very weird and a southpaw so ther is a good chance he wins 5/6 of the first 7 rounds before floyd times him and starts controlling him.
At that point he might be ko´d or still in the fight but behind anyway.
The fight that comes to mind is jean pascal vs chad dawson.
Look at that fight, thats hould be manny´s gameplan, and if floyd times him do soemthing completely different so it will throw him off. It will be a pac tko likely, or close ud for either in which i favor mayweather.

How are you going to say Manny's chin is better when Floyd has never been put on his ass hurt! He took two massive bombs from the hardest hitting welter weight and still stayed up and dominated the rest of that round! They both have great hand speed and foot speed but Floyd's timing is better and he has better foot work.
