Some say he doesn't have his legs bc he didn't get on his toes and move around the ring from Mosley! They didn't expect him to fight Mosley that way! All they had to do is go and watch Wright vs Mosley and see that all Floyd had to do is box the **** out of Mosley and jab his ass! Floyd moved more on Marquez and had great legs in that fight!

Thing is, Margo gives up his height a lot of the time, only when Garcia tried to help him use that height, not only did it slow him down, which helped Manny exploit his defense, as Manny had more time and space to set up his attacks, when he did use the jab, he didn't get his feet into position when using the jab, and so started reaching with the jab, which leaves you even more open to counters, Margo also doesn't change the rhythm of when he jabs, is slow of hand and foot, honestly, the difference between him and Mayweather in terms of dictating range, is night and day.

Knowing eachothers styles does make a difference. But Castillo another south paw who gave him trouble. With this experience he probably has improved against south paws and can adapt very well. But Manny's speed and constant work rate will be an issue. He could adapt to it and make it look like a very ordinary fight like he has many times before

His constant workrate will by cut in half imo, particularly when the guy is moving laterally, making him cut the ring down, and! countering him.

Difference between Marquez and Mayweather, is that Mayweather moves after countering, he is not there for the receipt.

I see your point. I think Floyd's jab will take away Manny's speed! He will jab to the body, chest, and head plus stay out of range! The one thing to add to it as well is that FLOYD DOES NO FIGHT WITH RHYTHM!!:good

Sure a cut could happen, I dont saw him stopping marquez who is more chinny then paca nd floyd held every advantage over him at a weight he should be nowhere near. If he could not stop marquez he will definitely not stop pacquiao

    this is a misnomer

i am not saying floyd will stop pac, but floyd did not use his weight in the jmm fight...and was not going for the KO til the end....and it's been awhile, but he did get an early KD i think

Pac has fought a lot of guys tailor made to walk onto his punches. Do agree Floyd has good movement to fustrate Pac. When your punches are not landing that frustration grows and more mistakes are made. Pac also has good footwork and the angles he creates can help him land a number of good shots/combos.

Both fighters have something different to offer. But if Floyds game starts to develop could make Pac look very avg. Should Pacs game work we will have a fight on our hands. Floyd might have that little extra advantage. It all depends how this all plans out on fight night.

    That is pretty one-sided.

Mayweather's defence is superior compared to Pac's.

Mayweather's straight right is the best weapon against Pac (check out Clottey-Pac)

    Pac has trouble with counter-punchers.

I see this as a 50-50 fight, or perhaps 52-48 for May but in no case a clear Pacquiao victory.

I agree with that. Is what makes him so versatile. Manny fights with rhythm and if thats broken would like to see how he reacts. Right now its gone all his way. In this fight it may not be so and his reaction/frustration needs to be seen.

But you missed my whole point, this is boxing...anything can happen. People react differently to different punches, and more importantly, punches from different people.

Boxer A who is known to be a knockout puncher could not knock out Boxer C...Boxer C was not in trouble at any stage during the bout after taking his opponents best shots, and afterwards makes a comment suggesting Boxer A doesn't punch very hard.

Whereas Boxer B, who is not known for his knockout power, or any type of power at all...then faces Boxer C. Boxer B knocks Boxer C out in 2 rounds.

Even though Manny's feet are faster and his offensive footwork is better than Floyd's now, who has become more flat-footed as he has aged.
