Got to read you guys this touching paragraph from UNBEATEN

Sad on so many levels...

"Rocky sent 49 red roses to (Charley) Goldman's funeral--one for each of his fights--and one white rose--"for Charley." But he couldn't be there in person, because that same day he was a headliner at a testimonial dinner in Chicago to raise money for Ezzard Charles, who had been stricken with Lou Gerhig's disease. Charles was confined to a wheelchair, but when he was introduced he insisted on standing. Archie Moore grabbed him by one side, and Rocky by the other, and together the three former champions made their way to the podium, tears streaming down Rocky's cheeks.

That got to me. Had to stop reading a minute.
