Gotta be honest, most aficionados had Castillo & Maidana beating TBE. Discuss please.

How often have we seen close fights scored in favour of the house fighter or the guy with a bigger name?

If roles were reversed and Maindana had been the big cash cow with all the A side privilege then he would surely have gotten the nod, probably with little controversy.

Also, Mayweather was crying "I can't see, I can't see" at the end of the 3rd round, theatrically dabbing his eye to emphasise his distress.

Any boxer who claims loudly that an injury is significantly interfering with his vision is essentially asking for the fight to be called off on medical grounds. It certainly is not the conduct of a fighter who is confident that he is going to win the fight.

The writing was on the wall at that early stage and in the heat of the moment Mayweather was likely hoping for a no contest.

It's also worth considering that Mayweather only ever gave two rematches; Castillo and Maidana, the two fights that many people feel he actually lost. It is possible that Mayweather, privately, felt the need to avenge these losses, regardless of any official score cards.

He told his corner he couldn't see because he had blood in his eye from an accidentl headbutt.. He didn't stop in the middle if the fight and yell it.. And of course he was touching his eye because he's a human with blood in it.. It's kinda weird to think he saw him bleeding into his eye as a way out of a fight.. He's a professional boxer.. If you honestly believe that, then you would still have to give him props for finishing and winning the fight..

If you also believe that he gave rematches because he know he lost, I don't what to tell you.. That also sounds crazy, but the more logical reason would be to prove that he deserve the win.. All he had to do is take his win and run.. There's no reason to subconsciously avenge a fight that most thought you won.. Again, if you believe that, then you have to give him props again for looking for a way out of the first fight because he was getting beat so bad (I guess), and immediately fighting that same guy...
