I thought he won the fight, After round 8 it was Clottey's fight for the taking, but Cotto made the adjustments and Clottey had no response except to ***** out in the 12th round.

 

I felt the Clottey lost the fight more than Cotto won it. Clottey took his foot off the gas in the late rounds. But great showing by Cotto to fight through the cut.

 

This, if Clottey have continue his aggressiveness in the later rounds he would have won, but he somehow wasn't as agresive. Maybe it was Cotto that wasn't giving him a stationary object.
Cotto was trying to be the counterpuncher and maybe it affected Clottey.

 

Clottey even mentioned how Cotto's movement was giving him trouble.

 

I had it 114-113 Cotto.

 

Very close but win Cotto. It was IMPOSSIBLE for clottey to win. Even if Clottey had won 7 rounds to 5 it would have been a draw because of the KD in the first round. And Clottey winning 8 rounds to 4? IMPOSSIBLE IMO.

I've slept right through the ****ing thing but caught the first couple rounds on a stream, gonna have to watch later but the RBR thread in Brit Forum seems to agree with what you just said. If you had to come on here without seeing the fight, you'd think Clottey had just been robbed blind.

I sick of people saying "if it wasn't for the cut" garbage. Before Cotto was cut, Clottey won the 2nd round easily. The fight would still be close if it wasn't a cut on Cotto eyes. You can make the same case for Clottey being slam very hard in which it could effect his arms but i wouldn't make that excuse just like you shouldn't make the eye cut as an excuse for why it was a close fight.

 

Without the cut: Cotto KO10 Clottey. He just beat the man with ONE EYE!

 

I give it to Cotto for hanging in there, but he did not win that fight.
