Bute looked like **** but he edged the fight 115-113. He's done for though, Grachev isn't as good as many dudes Bute easily bludgeoned pre-Froch, it should've been an easy fight for Bute, he's done, Froch ruined him.

 

You really are one of the most unintentionally hilarious posters on this forum and you could write your knowledgable thoughts on boxing in the top corner of a postage stamp and still have room.

This "lulling Grachev into a false sense of security" has actually gathered some steam today.
Fortunately it's been mostly by posters with all the credibility of Jimmy Saville at the moment.

 

I thought it was an interesting idea, personally.

Totally implausible in this particulaar case, but interesting nonetheless as a theoretical concept. I could see it actually happening with some fighters, under certain very specific conditions.

Bute, of course, needed desperately to gain his confidence back, and also to show as much dominance as possible to the world. So, in this specific case, the idea is rather absurd.

Bute could have opened up at the halfway mark last night and been forgiven for feeling his way back.
But he fought scared,and I felt that last round was an insult to the intelligence of his fans(albeit unintentionally)
Bute is a nice guy,but he's not cut out for the top level,and he's in an unenviable position.How can he back out of the rematch and keep his credibility in the toughest sport of all?
But it would still be the sensible option from a health perspective.

 

Stay away from Froch. he is all wrong for Bute. Brain damage on the way, for Bute.

 

Grachev did much better than I thought. I think this lose elevates his standing, but Bute won fair and square.

Watching the event witout scoring it i taught Grachev won. Scoring the rounds on.mute ended up 115,113 bute. Precise effectif punching gave him a few round where grachev threw more but hit alot of leather.

 

This. Bute's gloves are good for garbage. That is the first time I see Bute defend himself with his gloves. It worked ok for him except when you go in the ring with a new style, you may be a bit stiff. You think instead of react. Bute was thinking too much in that fight. He started being himself in the 12th round, when he stopped protecting himself with his gloves. He should continue to practice that though, it could save his life against Froch!
