Certainly not the most exciting match-up this weekend, but it has its fair of repercussions and could be a good scrap.

Why the lack of chatter, and who are you guys backing?

Interesting tid bit, Grachev is training up in Big Bear alongside Golvolin.

I only have an answer to the highlighted part of the question. It's very simple. The fight, while fairly important, won't be televised and neither fighter has a huge following.

    I favor Edwin slightly.

Curious to see how it plays out.

Grachev will have a very interesting 4 fight streak, that is for sure.

I'm not the least bit pumped for this fight because I'm sick of seeing Rodriguez stink out the joint against crude opponents and because I think Grachev's win over Erdei was one of the worst decisions of the year.

I favor Rodriguez just slightly on judges favoritism. Grachev has a clear ability to upset the odds.

The Super Four lost a bit of zest in the semis with the improbable scoring of Grachev vs. Erdei and the disappointment of Rodriguez vs. Maderna being much duller than expected.

...except that E-Rod is a) physically and mentally tougher than Sillakh (and probably Bute, altuough far less talented) and b) a young fighter with plenty of TV exposure as opposed to the old and obscure Erdei.

So he isn't likely to get stopped or robbed...so I don't see where the Pirate (I refuse to call him by his other nickname..."Drago's son"...pah! Let's see a DNA test confirming that. :bart Or at least Stallone giving his blessing to make it canonical ...) steals the upset.

Grachev was taught a boxing lesson in his last fight, if judging is proper, Rodriguez should have no problems winning.

It's a solid overall card, actually...though Rodriguez vs. Grachev is by far its most competitive spot.

Dmytro Kucher - big time Ukrainian prospect, has been stepping up his competition in the last two calendar years and looked superb most of the time. His opponent isn't a major deal, although he did stop a guy that lasted twice as long going the distance with Andre Dirrell. :think

Max Bursask - very good second tier middleweight who only ever lost to Hassan N'Dam N'Jikam and had some moments in that one coming on late and hurting N'Dam N'Jikam. He is in with light middleweight Prizefighter tourney champ and former British champ Prince Arron, who is good at UK level but will probably be outmatched here.

Khabib Allakhverdiev - since upsetting Kaizer Mabuza and Joan Guzman, the new WBA 140lb champ has been lined up with a slew of names as possible first defenses: Breidis Prescott, Guzman in a rematch, Vicente Mosquera. The game of spin the bottle has ended with the spout pointed at WBA #4 Souleymane M'Baye, who is pushing 40 and hasn't accomplished much of anything since popping Antonin Decarie's cherry three years ago.
