    I'd say it was somewhere in the middle of the Ortiz rivalry that he transitioned from "legend/pioneer on the slide" to outright joke.

    Hard to feel sorry for Shamrock. The guy has been a dikchead since birth.

    Yeah. Just too bad it wasn't a double KO, as Gracie doesn't exactly deserve anything to gloat about either.

    He stunned Ortiz BADLY in the 1st fight. That fight was his last stand, and maybe that leg lock he had Franklin in :D

    Not to mention he fought with a torn acl. Showed a ton of heart and refused to quit, the corner had to yank him between rounds iirc. He would definitely be remembered more fondly if that was the way he went out.
