Just watched Tua vs Oquendo- " I would like to thank Mr. Oquendo, he was a great champion, I would like to say hello to his family in Puerto Rico"
Yes, Oquendo was truly a great champion. I like this quote for the thread: "People ask me who the most gracious boxer I ever faced was, on a personal level, and I have to say it was Roberto Duran." ~Sugar Ray Leonard III
I liked Oquendo as well, I thought he got screwed against Chris Byrd and he destroyed a rising Clifford Ettiene knocking him down 7 times.
Richie Woodhall always came across as a gentleman after a fight. I remember when he got a gift decision against Glenn Catley. He's the only boxer I've ever seen admit that he lost the fight in a interview straight after winning a decision. 49:37 for reference This content is protected
