Graham Earl is remembered for the fight against Katsidis, His loss to Khan and Henry Castle but not so much is said about Graham Earl the trainer. Now for the Khan fight Earl had American trainer Gus Curran from Florida train him in his gym called "House of champions" after his loss to Khan, Earl went to Frank Maloney and asked for Henry Castle who put him away even faster than Khan, Now Earl has his own gym called House of Champions in Luton his hometown, Some say he doesnt own the gym but just rents it, I would like to know what stable of fighters he has and if anyone knows of good prospects he has. I think Earl will make a better trainer than a boxer but Im trying to find out about his stable, and also if anyone has been on the mitts with him or trained with him. thanks
Also I hear that Earl now is a promotor aswell so it looks like things are going well for him, I seen a picture of him recently and he surely has piled on the pounds. This content is protected http://www.grahamearl.com/ thats his website im not sure if he just promotes these people or if he also trains them? Might be a few world champions in the making there and its a pity because he doesnt get the media attention he deserves. http://www.grahamearl.com/fighters.html
I love Graham Earl. He's wicked. Feel so sorry for him though. He's like a Tragic Clown character. That Khan knockout was harder to watch than Hatton's for me. Was over the moon when Khan got his just reward.
Very recently he pulled one of his recent promotions in Belfast in the week of the fight. Lots of kids were making their debut and it has put a lot of peoples noses out of joint. It was a poor effort of a promotion.
ticket sales. I think he booked the Kings Hall - which is a big venue. Simply didnt have any local knowledge and made a bit of a mess of it. Dissapointing for all involved but just shows you that you cant take boxing fans for granted. I discuss the reasons for the collapse of the card on the Main Event Radio Show - skip to 4 minutes in if your not interested in the rest of the segment.
