No no no, he wasn't tiring - that's received wisdom, isn't it? Except that's two contemporary reports, so it isn't.

I like Froch, for the record, and wouldn't have been sad if he won on Saturday. But he didn't. His gameplan was fine, Kessler was just better than him.

It has been quite interesting reading this debate.
Kessler deserved the win. It is as simple as that. Ok fair enough, Froch was not as active as he should have been, and the fight may have been different had he have had a bit more of the tenacity that Kessler showed. But i think the point is that Kessler's performance took away what were Froch's percieved advantages; Closing the distance so that Froch couldn't keep him on the end of a jab all night; Working his body, excellent plan which did seem to slow carl; having the confidence to put carl back in his shell when he did decide to engage. Thus negating any advantage carl may have had in terms of power.
I think it is sour grapes to say carl lost the fight rather than kessler won it.
I feel Kessler did come and win it by bringing the fight to Carl. Both hurt each other, it was a great "fight". It was never going to be technically awsome whatsoever, but i was enthralled.
I wanted Carl to win, but he didn't, and the score cards (apart from 117-111, THAT was bollocks) reflected that. 115-113 and 116-112 were not unfair on carl to be honest.
Do i think he could win a re-match, well yes, he would have a chance, but he would need to approach the fight thinking about what advantages he could take away from Kessler, rather than thinking he is going to out war him, as clearly he probably wouldn't be able to do it in a return. He needs to utilize his Jab to make him look more effective, and rather than wanting to war, build and switch his attacks.
Has really changed to look of the S6 though
If anyone looks at the times that carl did decide to fire back, Kessler comes back stronger, and carl backs off.

That's not even why I'm arguing. This all came from Rob whinging that Froch got no credit, when you can't give him undue credit when he lost the fight. he's the same old Carl. He sits back at times, he fights in spurts, he wings big punches, he's a liability defensively - but he's better than many give him credit for.
