Graham sueing Hatton

I thought he was a good talker in the corner.

His actual training left a lot to be desired and he essentially made Ricky into a super fit, super strong battering ram.

 

Not when the fighters get into "mad money". A lot of boxers put their trainers on a reduced percentage or a flat fee when the really big money starts coming in.

 

I doubt Floyd will be getting any less than 10% here.He wanted $2.5million from DLH for Floyd fight didn't he?

 

God knows, but boxer/ trainer combinations frequently fall out when the boxer tries to put a long time trainer on fixed rate/ reducer percentages when the real big money rolls in.

What seems a reasonable amount to pay someone for 8 weeks work when its 10% of $1,000,000 becomes a lot to shell out when its 10% of $25,000,000.

 

Though I suppose Graham was working for £300 when Ricky was a four round scratcher!

 

Of course but back then Hatton would have been one of many fighters trained by Graham.

I don't know the in and outs of all this so I'm reserving judgment but I'm just pointing out that this situation happens a lot in boxing. Just because a trainer got 10% of the smaller purses and at a certain level this is seen as a standard percentage it doesn't mean he's going to get that deal when the big PPV/ casino money rolls in.

 

Poor Graham clearly needs to see a psychiatrist over this split with Ricky. Not that it will help .

 

hatton is just a greedy cnut. When they make their money, they foget who helped put them there, Not that i rate billy boy as a trainer. pbf's dad is a great trainer.

 

Graham isn't over it and will never be untill Ricky retires. Watching and hearing about Ricky's up and coming mega showdowns will just spark some nostalgic ****. Floyd Snr isn't helping either when he refers Graham as a poor trainer etc.

Hatton likes to big up Mayweather, like he did Graham before he lost. If Ricky loses against Pacquiao, maybe another team restructure will follow, perhapsJorge Rubio will appear in Hatton's corner after Mayweather gets dismissed. Hatton can then sell his new trainer to the public with 'i have gone with an experienced trainer now, he once trained a silver medalist'.

I must have missed all this. I didn't know Graham was getting anything from Hatton. Why on earth would he be sueing him? He's probably just old and bitter because he never won a world title, although I just gave him the nod against McCallum.
