Grant Gloves hit just as hard as Reyes!

That's just my opinion from my own personal experience. I've always been primarily a football guy and played all the way through College, but often boxed on the side for fun and conditioning. Me and my homeboy would often spar, and sometimes we would use 10oz pro fight gloves instead 160z. (We are both over 220lbs) Getting hit with grants hurts like a MF, more so than reyes IMO. He said the same thing. I own a pair of both Reyes and Gloves, I was amazed when I got my grants at how hard the "padding" was. It has no give or compression whatsoever with a clenched fist. Its like rock. I know a lot of the preferences of a fighter are mental so some may just feel like Reyes gives them advantage, and its a well crafted glove, but I think grants hit just as hard if not harder.

Are Grants any cheaper in price?

They may be a little cheaper if you get them from ringside instead of grantboxing, but they are both about the same.

I just like how Reyes gloves look like cannonballs on the end of your arms.

Those must have been some big-ass gloves.

    I couldn't last 30 seconds with 160 ounce gloves.

But once you get used to them, you're so fast in the 10oz.:bbb

I respectfully disagree. I think, while the padding may be evenly as hard, it's easier to make a fist with Reyes gloves. Therefore it's easier to knock someone out with them. That's what I've found anyways.:conf

I sometimes warm up with 10 lb weights in my hands before hitting the bag so yeah....I year ya on that one. I saw Shane doing that when he was DLHs sparring partner.

I personally didn't have a problem making a fist in the grants, but each fighter's hand is different, so i could see how one brand may be more comfortable than the other. But I'm just saying that if you can make a good ist in either brand, than the difference in power is negligible.

Not that there's a problem making a fist with Grant's, but you dont make a full one, at least not to the extent you can with Reyes'. I personally prefer Grants, they offer more protection I think. Plus they look cooler(childish I know ). But, in my personal experience, you feel shots from Reyes' more. Different individuals have different experiences though.

I prefer Everlast with an oz of padding taken out and some Plaster of Paris.
