If I stepped up to say, a $100 pair of sparring gloves, would it make that big of a difference from the $40 Everlast Everfresh gloves that I use? By the way, I don't really care for these gloves that every newb (like me) seems to have. They are holding up OK but the insides are getting busted up with that cheap nylon lining they have. Any alternatives that might be better in the $50 range than the Everlasts?

If you're looking for something cheaper that will hold up pretty good, I'd say try the title gel bag gloves. They around $70 but they were a pretty good training glove in my opinion, really protected the hands throughout a lot heavy bag and mitt work.

When I need a break from the 14 oz, I use my well worn Century bag gloves, especially for Muay Tai class. Tonight I'll use those but I really like having a full pair of gloves in front of my mook, even just using the mits/pads.
