Granting PAC retires next year, would you approve Hoya as his next fight?

Surely PAC will garner millions of praises for being so brave and gutsy in taking bigger challenges in his last few fights.

If this fight pushes through, PAC will try his very best to win this fight like what he always do in his previous fights. As far as I can remember, PAC didn't give the fans one bull**** fight. He gave it all (or close to it) in every single fight.

Remember PAC will retire next year. Having 3 fights this year is part of his retirement plan. He publicly called out Hatton for a November fight but Hatton said not yet. Waiting for Hatton is just wasting PAC's remaining time for boxing.

i haven't heard of that..the one i heard was he would still be fighting next year and i think he would also fight 3x next year and then retire because he will purse 2010 elections..so that means he'll still be a fighter till next year and then retire after his last fight

If PAC can get the $10M to $20M Hoya December fight and another $10M to $20M Hatton fight next year then I guess he will retire for good after those 2 fights.

The Philippines election will be in May 2010.

I agree 100% completely.. I really don't want this fight, even though I think he has a possibility to win the fight, but 135 is where I want him at.. Unifying the titles, making his claim as the best lower weight fighter, to be the first asian ever accomplish a feat, and it would greatly improve his all-time great status.. When I heard Pac considering retirement in a couple years, I've always wanted him to go accordingly like this..

Pacquiao vs Nate Campbell (He offered to drop Guzman)
Pacquiao vs Ricky Hatton (Only two fights left, but more than likely this fight will happen too, but I don't want it to be after a fight with Oscar)
Pacquiao vs Juan Marquez (Would be so great for his final match)

Although I think defeating Oscar could improve his ATG status slightly, I don't think this fight is a win-win situation for Pac.. If he was to lose, especially dramatically, his career could suffer.. I just have this negative thought about a Pac/DLH fight..

yes like i said next year..he can wait and not fight this year..

he can still fight as much by 2009 retire after his last fight and still have a lot of time to prepare for the 2010 elections

come on this is a mythical fight you would never think could be made. Now that it can be people are saying they don't want to see it. This to me would be like floyd mayweather figthting jones of today, i'd love to pay for either scenario

I don't know but PAC himself is keen on fighting Hoya next. As one of his fans, I'm supporting this move of PAC. PAC also said he can beat Hoya and I believe in him. PAC will always try his very best winning his every fight as proven by his commendable fight performances in the past.

i think he is keen on fighting anyone, fact is his handlers are the one saying things and speaking for him..he would just agree with them. As one of his fans i would like to lean more on pac's safety and for the good of pac in general.

Every single boxing fight is a risk tho Hoya poses a bigger risk and a bigger challenge. Boxing is a dangerous sport.

a hundred years from now if he beats dela HOYA, MP would be better remembered as the guy who who rose from 106 to beat a guy at 147(157) rather than one who unified the 135 crown for a single time frame. many would accomplish the feat of unifying a division but only a few can jump many weight divisions and still excel.
