He gets like 20 million Mexican viewers when he fights. Only thing topping that are mega fights like Pac-Marquez and the Mexican national soccer team.

He's right about the hype from Televisa and that a lot of people didn't take him seriously due to said hype . The problem is that the writer dismisses Canelo as a red headed bum who can't dance and eats funny, Wtf does that have to do with boxing. He even claims that the only reason he did well against Trout was because Trouts punches couldn't hurt him, writer dksab.

I doubt it, he didn't punish a smaller Guerrero for fawks sake. But he should be able to outpoint him fairly easily. Canelo has quick hands but is fairly slow on his feet. I see 12 frustrating rounds for Canelo with a wide UD for Floyd.

This writing is on the money and explains in literate form what the true state of affairs is. I don't expect the average noob to gain anything from it, but the informed intelligent poster will gain a wealth of Knowledge into the Goldenboy/Canelo machinations. DLH, via Goldenboy and televisa have greased the skids and provided a favorable environment for the red head. Who the **** else ever gets these breaks in the boxing world?? does Erislandy Lara get to fight Mattew Hatton for the title???? does Carlos Molina, who is vastly more talented than Canelo and kicked James Kirlands ass on cable, see these type paydays......Canelo is a masterful job of media hype by Golden boy, but the fact is, I still remember Alphonso Gomez taking it to Canelo, its an image I cant get out of my head, Gomez a guy Cotto was knocking down with a ****ing jab. Yes Canelo is good, but it he great, and is he great enough to beat Mayweather. Ones desire to have Mayweatherget KTFO can almost lead to a pact with the devil and its hard not to get caught in the hype and yet this article lays out for me what I always knew and believed.

We can say this about some of ya'll's favourite rappers, media creations.

But Canelo is no joke, if he was it would show.

The writer seems more butthurt about their experience with Canelo more-so than the conspiracy they dug up to justify it.

I live in Mexico and it is spot on, Televisa put a president they can fabricate a boxing starvery easily but many mexicans that are real boxing fans don't like him and really dislike the way this TV acts, also they are selling alot of lies to the american public about his following, most of them are mexican americans and not mexicans, they are making it look as if he is Julio Cesar Chavez

I live in Mexico we see this everyday from this TV network they created a President, they can easily create a fighter, Canelo is a good fighter but not what the media is trying hard to make him.
