could lamotta and his granite chin have taken one of the rocks big big right hand? they say graziano had arguably one of the hardest right hands in boxing.
I think Lamotta's chin would nullify Graziano's power for the most part and Jake's work-rate should prevail ...I see a tough-hard fought UD for Jake but Rocky would have his moments
I've wondered about how the Rock's right hand rates with the other great middle throwers. He threw it like an axe but was it on par with Robby's or Ketchel's? With the way Jake took Ray's right hands I think he would weather Graziano's also.
Jake took monstrous shots from Satterfield, Murphy 2X, SRR (with 108 career knockouts) 6X, Lloyd Marshall, Fritzie Zivic 3X (and Fritzie, with 82 career kayoes, was described as a harder puncher than Burley after he squared off with Charley), and Cerdan, without ever going down against any of them. (Yes, Marcel separated his left shoulder when Jake sent him to the floor in the opening round, but most of the Frenchman's knockdowns and knockouts that I've seen footage of came courtesy of his right, which the LaMotta film shows him unloading freely with.) LaMotta would respond to whatever Graziano had by coming forward. Can Rocky make it to the final bell when his power is continually taken away by being forced into retreat on the back foot? The Bull was a LHW champion in the amateurs, and brought a HW chin into the professional MW ranks. Graziano actually started punch for pay as a WW, and even today is commonly referred to as a LMW. I don't see his power being so much of a factor when Robby's far more surgically precise power couldn't put Jake down. How does Rocco's power stack up to Satterfield's, Murphy's, or Marshall's?
Easy win for Rocky who they say didn't want this fight. But they were buds from reform school and such. Not sure if it would be a KO or easy decision, but a def W for the Bull.
