Mugabi and Graziano,,,, Who wins?. Rocky Graziano pre Zale, who I saw many times in Ny, was the most exciting fighter I ever saw...Watching his early fights, were like being witness to a sreet fight...Graziano,was a 10 to one underdog , when after taking a terrible beating for 2 rounds, against a great young puncher ,undefeated Billy Arnold, MSG, 1945, rallied and flattened Arnold in the 3rd round ...He became a NY sensation, after that...Mugabi, was a bomb thrower also, but not much defense...Bell rings two grenades are thrown, both land... Who survives?.But fans take your steel helmets to the fight.....

Mugabi would have Rocky at the brink, but Rocky was super tough, and, in a battle of wills, Graziano beats John, around the ninth round.

Mugabi had deceptively quick hands. That uppercut that made Hagler's head roll around as if it were on a swivel was a lightning-quick counter shot. If he lays back and counters against Graziano as he did against Marv, I can easily see the Beast taking out Rocky.

damn good fight. their stock goes up no matter what. graziano was a small middle, mugabi probably a natural 154 pounder so the size is comparable. i think rocky hit notably harder, mugabi notably straighter. **** it, it's a toss up

Id take the Mugabi that fought Hagler over Graziano. I just think that was one of the most impressive challenges of the title that Ive seen. He lost but he put Hagler through hell.

Hagler wasn't exactly a light puncher himself and Mugabi took bombs from him round after round.

Obviously it could go the other way as well when you have two bombers.
