im sorry if i insulted you, but i absolutely refuse to allow my dignity to rest in a single word. it was in no way an attempt to insult anyone, as i don't use the word as often as you may expect. do not ever confuse me with a self hating black man (who is in fact a ***** in the very defintition of the word) i am a proud black man a shall remain one, so proud that my pride will not be stripped or even threaten by any sort of verbal insult.

I'd love to see Kimbo at the top of the sport but he allowed the hype. Which makes us ask, "Did he really want to fight or did he really want the money and fame?" I never saw him on any small MMA shows building up his resume. He went straight to the big leagues. The big paydays. If he really wants to come back from this and be taken seriously he needs to surround himself with people who take that aspect of the game seriosly.

Ken Shamrock is a legend in MMA. How could you call him a ***? This guy came back from a broken neck once before to fight in these no holds barred exhibitions. So what he wasn't cleared to fight with the cut. Everyone has an opinion but that isn't the definition of *** as I know it.

I don't think he allowed the hype, i think it was unavoidable. he started doing mma at cage rage, which is definitely not as well known as elite xc, and when they gave him an offer he took it. i see what your saying about being in it solely for the money, but i also see this guy feeding his family and doing what he has to do in order to do so. belive me, im not saying i wanted to see this guy with a title fight, or even as the main event (and ive been a fan since his street fights came out) in that sense i see him just like brock lesnar, who damn sure doesnt deserve to fight couture with a 2-1 record.

on the topic of shamrock, i got much respect for that guy, but give me a ****in break, a scratch over the eye? james thompson fought slice with a freakin golf ball growin out of his head, all shamrock had to do was cover up. frank was right (as much of a douchebag that guy is) you don;t see that bullcrap in boxing or most mma. i dont believe it was as simple as shamrock not being allowed to fight.

We're on the same page because Lesnar does not deserve that Couture fight. I just want to see Kimbo taking this sport to his heart. If so he could probably make nice run in MMA.

Kimbo is finished. He was a circus act to begin with before he got KOed in 14 seconds. His credibility is gone and the only way he can get it back is fight and beat a Top 10 Heavyweight which we all know he will not do.

You don't believe he would've been a solid MMA fighter had he climbed the steps by taking the bumps and bruises that come with competing in the club shows? In addition had he surrounded himself with MMA people, instead of clowns, you don't belive he would be good?:think

**** you for suggesting Ken Shamrock, who has been fighting since the start of this goddamned sport, is anything but a real fighter.

Nobody being talked about started fighting at cage ragee.

Shamrock wanted to fight, the DR and athletic commison would not let him.

The thing that angers me most about the Elite XC is they always try to take shots at boxing. They bragged about how MMA will take fights on a moment notice unlike boxing. I remeber when Tommy Morrison and another guy fought eachother. The guy was eating a hotdog in the crowd and found some stuff to fight Morrison that night. This other cat was already for another fight and he pulled out to fight Bumbo Slice.

What about the loss was bull****?

He shouldn't continue fighting because he's no good in any aspect whatsoever. He's a street fighting bum fighting trained professional MMA fighters, and just lost in embrassing fashion to a nobody. Kimbo sucks and always has.

He got KO'd in 14 seconds after being dropped by a glancing, backwards jab with no force behind it.....so no, he would never have been any good at all.

i agree in saying that he's undisciplined but i still would like to see him be at least a viable contender in mma, thats just me as a fan. i say his loss was bull**** cuz he slipped, took punches, and didn't cover up. im saying it was a bull**** performance on kimbo's part mainly because his head was all ****ed up. you caould tell by the look on his face before the fight, he didn't know what to think. that aint no excuse, but its kind of understandable

He wanted to fight, he was prepared to fight, he was going to fight, the state of florida would not let him fight, despite his protest
