First of all, really enjoyed that fight. They both really showed huge heart and determination to win. Both limited and tactically naive but that's what turned it into such an enjoyable war.

Kessler improved considerably on his last outing against Ward. Makes me wonder whether Ward is really that special or if something was seriously wrong with MK in that fight. But that's another story. In one round (maybe the 9th), Kessler landed beautiful combination on the back of a feint drawing Froch into range. All in all, not as predictable as usual and Froch never really got to grips with him apart from the toe to toe stuff.

Froch showed the usual balls, chin and menace. If only he tried to box more behind that jab he could become a much better boxer.

Froch impressed though. Very compelling stuff. Props to both. Worth the £15. :good

The tournament is Ward's to lose.

Kessler cannot quite counter like he once could, but is obviously very good.

Froch's tactics were better than Kessler, talent made the difference though.

Seconded. The fight was epic and both fighters deserve credit. Correct result and no complaints from me. Love to see a rematch later in the tourney if both fighters get to the latter stages.

I did a roar and beat chest in one round. My type of fighter's warriors who talk the talk. I'm proud of both and **** the haters. Froch may not have the ability he thinks but i know who i'd have in trenches with me. Tough SOB and a man of his word.

Well Done Kess...hard to hate the guy..soft spot for him and happy he's back.

It was a truly great fight. The only two downfalls were the arena and the judge that scored it 111-117.

It's funny, at the end of the fight they looked at each other as if to say "We'll finish this next time" - I can't wait.

Brilliant fight, was enthralled every second of every round....Kessler showed tons of heart...I can only start to imagine what the last round of the tourney will be like :good

    Respect to both.

Kessler won against a tough opponent.

    Froch lost with dignity.

You say that but at least the right man had his hand raised in the end.

It's not unreasonable, if a little outlandish. I thought the interviewer on primetime was fantastic too! Really put Carl in his place.

Schmeichel wasn't letting Froch get away with that "I would have won in Nottingham" answer! Really put him in his place by bringing up the Dirrell controversy! Nothing gets past the great Dane!

It was a very good fight. Thoroughly enjoyed it and yes Kessler won but it was nothing for Carl to be ashamed of and the beauty of the super six is he can come again, get a rematch and win the title back if he's capable.

    Both came out with credit.

This is Kessler's best win quite easily, Froch has proved himself a good foe. Kessler showed a lot of heart and strength, they were his best attributes tonight, it wasn't the most silky of displays he just dug it out.

Froch tried hard but never quite put enough pressure on for some reason. He just couldn't dictate to Kessler nearly enough, he had moments but could never sustain even through 1 round. He was too often backed up and playing the counterpuncher, thats not his game. He was better coming forward but maybe Kessler was just too strong and he couldn't do it with any consistency. I expected a bit more from Froch early and in the middle but he let Kessler have a comfortable time of it up until the latter stages. Maybe he felt he could dig it out again but it was a bad gameplan if he was relying on that.

^ Big Peter? Legend! "Well, you already got one decision in your home so it's even"

I'd say it's Ward or Dirrell's to lose. Winner of their fight wins the tournie for me

Dirrell won't beat Ward. I can see Ward in with Kessler again, or with Abraham.

I think Abraham's going to knock Froch out.
