    I'd give you a "Like" on the last three quotes, but I can't read the first two without wincing. I wonder if Duran has mellowed to the point where he has some regrets about what he said?

    It was his act for the time. He does seem to have mellowed. Hell, he was laughing with Leonard pre fight for their third bout in 89. Thirty years on, I suspect he is even more chilled out.

    Got it!! Sorry. I agree that is a great quote from Cobb. And if that was the case, it truly was his greatest accomplishment!!

    On March 2 1975 following the Roberto Duran vs Ray Lampkin WBA World Lightweight Title Bout won by Duran TKO 14. Duran told the commentator, If I Was In Better Shape, They Would Not Be Taking Ray Lampkin To The Hospital, They Would Be Taking Him To The Morgue. Ray later was diagnosed at the hospital, with a concussion following this bout that was televised Live from Panama City Panama on ABC's Wide World Of Sports.
