By BOXISMS, I of course mean some of the great quotes that trainers give to their fighters...here in Philly, there are tons of ridiculous analogies and similes made to fighters to help them train and fight. Of course, some of the popular ones are Nazim Richardson's "swim without getting wet!" "Knock the grease of him!"...I've also heard him say during training "You need to be like a Jehovah's Witness and get that foot in the door!"
Willie Pastrano, defending his world light heavyweight championship, behind on points against former middleweight champion Terry Downes. Willie goes back to his corner, and Angelo Dundee was reading him the riot act. Pastrano tells Dundee "**** you". Dundee says "**** me?, no, **** him", Angelo says pointing across the ring at Downes, "he's the one taking your title". Pastrano went on to score a knockout in the 11th to retain the title.
Float like a butterfly sting like a...darn what is it again? "You're gonna have to eat lightning, and crap thunder!"
:good Excellent choice. Goosen doesn't even look remotely shaken by this ridiculously epic fight, and epic moment. Just looks at Corrales, and tells him the business
trainer to Morales: "tame los huevos" (give me your balls) Translator: "Let me put some water on your balls"
Roach to Manny before round 12 of the Cotto fight "Please Manny knock this son of a ***** out for me!" btw you will only get that on the sky broadcast
