Well.. Old man Hopkins was able to floor Calzaghe, but 28 year old Hopkins hit the man in your avatar clean in the jaw, many times, and couldn't hurt him...:deal

Um, no he didn't that fight was a stinker with both Jones and Hopkins scared to engage lots of posing and feinting and just all out a boring non event of a fight which Jones did win but there was very little action even the commentators were asking why each guy was so reluctant to commit to throwing meaningful punches.....

It wasn't a great fight, but Hopkins did hit Jones with straight right hands that would knock out the current version of Jones.

#1 - That fight was a complete stinker, I wouldn't expect even Glass Jaw Roy to be knocked out with the paltry amount of punches landed in it.

#2 - You are the biggest Glass Jaw Roy nuthugger on this site and it is pathetic that you came in here to hijack a conversation on British Chins with your delusional Royboy propaganda. Take a hike, fanboy.

I agree.. Roy's jaw at this point is not that of what it takes to be a professional fighter... He needs to give up, while he can.:yep

And what agenda is that? Sharing a Fact about Boxing with the fine denizens of ESB? Glass Jaws Exist in Boxing and they are extremely prevalent in the UK. That is not up for debate and I don't think I should need some nefarious agenda to talk about it.

I know glass Jaws exist in boxing, and I know Roy in his 40's surely has one, I didn't know where you were born had anything to do with it? Maybe the altitude is higher??? i am not sure what you are trying to get at.:huh

First of all, your hero always had a Glass Jaw. That is not up for debate and it surely isn't going to be up for debate in this thread.

Secondly, this thread clearly shows that the vast majority of the UK's best fighters have been in possession of a Fragile Glass Jaw. That was the entire point aside from having people offer their theories as to why Brits almost all have Frangible Mandibles. Do you understand?

But Calzaghe's was iron, who got put down by a man that was 15 years removed from when he couldn't hurt prime Roy Jones.... see where i am getting at? at least a little???

You claimed Joe's chin Iron, are sporting a Roy avatar, claiming to be a glass jaw expert, I feel you should be open for debate.

Glass Jaw Roy got knocked on his ass by a completely Feather fisted Lou Del Valle in his so called Prime and he has been brutally KOed numerous times since. Calzaghe was never KOed. Ever. That is all you need to know.

Did you watch the fight with Del Valle? I did, live, and it was a hard punch Roy did not see coming, by a naturally larger man in Roy's 3rd weight class up... You can hear the thud from the punch.. Roy got up and dominated him. Though that wasn't Roy's peak in my opinion...

Roy was peak at 168... When was the last time you saw the Toney fight?? Roy was hit cleanly with hard shots a handful of times, and did nothing but retaliate with harder faster punches from crazy angles... Even Larry Merchant mentioned how he was impressed with Roy being able to take Toney's shots, who was the best fighter in the world, and had one shot KO power.....

Roy has developed a glass jaw... developing a glass jaw exists in boxing!! it doesn't mean he always had one.

The evidence presented in this thread is irrefutable.
