This is an obvious wind up thread (anti Brit) by MM... also have to admit it's one of the most successful troll threads just by the sheer size of the responses :yep

I'm not obsessed with chins. Obviously punch resistance is one of the key factors that will determine a fighters success. There are many others such as: speed, hand/foot coordination & movement, effective combinations, punching power, stamina, etc. No boxer "has it all". Some fans are too quick to call a fighter "glass" jawed, as if there's no middle ground between "china" & "iron" jaws. You get hit right, and most anybody will go down or at least be staggered (***** street) so that follow up shots will put them down - maybe for the count.

In the chin checkers vids they showed some bad examples of a supposed "china" chinned fighter taking multiple shots b4 going down. Fans that over obsess about weak chins have most likely never been in any kind of fight themselves, except in a video game or in their fantasies. I've actually been in fights b/c I'm old enough that we had fights in and out of school b4 the US started drugging kids and turning boys into girls w/pricks :-(

 

Funny and mostly true. I would move Fury out, though, he once upper cutted himself and took it well.

 

Maybe you didn't see the fight because he was definitely down against Thompson and was all over the place when stopped.

 

Should that equal a glass chin though?

most people accept that his loss to Thompson was mainly down to stamina issues.

1 K.O loss shouldn't mean an automatic glass chin when you think of all the other fighters out there like Khan and Ortiz who seem to get put on ***** street almost regularly
