Think it's fair to say Moore-Macklin,Arthur-Gomez get rightly remembered as great British title fights what about the forgotten great fights?

Anyone else remember Andy Till v Wally Swift jr cracking fight the old saying of fighting in a phone booth springs to mind.

Till beat Swift three times but the 12 round decision fight to me a forgotten domestic classic.

To be fair to Jamie Moore he was involved in some great British title fights and his fights with Andrew Facey were very good.

Danny Williams was another one and he had a great night against Scott Gammer.

Kevin Anderson come from behind victory over Young Mutley was a great night as well.

i often wonder do i see things as clearly as i think i do.
i think there have been some fantatsic british title fights, and i always regarded any boxer who could win a british title as being very good.
yet, some boxing fans regard anything below world title level as 'bums'....look at the way richard dunn was regarded for years after the ali fight....i know he was nothing like world level...but should his failings at that level overshadow his achievements at british / euro level ?
    anyway...that was off topic....rant over.

    Honeyghan v Gilpin
    Marsh v McKenzie

These 2 were absolutely first class in the action and also in the talent on show

1975: Bunny Sterling vs Maurice Hope. June 10, 1975. MW.
Sterling won TKO 8. I did´nt watch the fight and there´s no film from the fight. But my good friend John came back from the show in London and told me it was a classic, better than Frazier-Ali.
We were fans of Bunny Sterling. Here, in Denmark he boxed rings around our great Tom Bogs and defeated Danish prospects Tom Jensen and Poul Knudsen with ease before Tom Bogs won a decision in their rematch.
Late round losses to Bouttier and Mundine prevented him from getting a shot for the World title.

I think Grahame Earl may have been in a few as was Henry Wharton.

Hatton Vs Thaxton was a pretty good fight.
