Don't feel Carbajal vs Chiquita is a valid example, they both had dentable chins but big hearts, and could both bang (though Carbajal was the bigger puncher IMO)

NO WAY!!:patsch CARBAJAL HAD A BIG TIME CHIN ONLY CHIQUITA EVER PUT HIM DOWN AND HE FOUGHT SOME BIG PUNCHERS ARCE,KITTIKASEM,PASTRANA,OLSON WERE ALL BIG PUNCHERS AND NEITHER OF THEM EVER REALLY HURT CARBAJAL . REMEMBER CHIQUITA WAS A REGARDED AS ONE OF THE BEST PFP PUNCHERS IN BOXING AT ONE TIME AND FOR THE EXCEPTION OF THE FIRST FIGHT NEVER HURT CARBAJAL AGAIN. THE BABY JAKE STOPPAGE WAS AN ACCUMALATION OF SHOTS,CARBAJAL WAS NEVER HURT ,HE WAS JUST TAKING A NON STOP ATTACK FROM MATALALA.

Maybe I was reaching you made a decent point:good Although he did get KO"d a few times. I notice you had no response to my opinion on carbajal. I think Carbajal had one of the best chins ever. When talking about the fighters in the lighter divisions.

Carbajal had anything but a shaky chin.

Yeah, he lost something in that fight most probably. I guess he was a bit unsure of himself thereafter, and didn't get past the 3rd round in his next fight against Duane Thomas when it appeared that he was thumbed. That might have crushed his confidence further.
But I dont know what he was doing outside of the ring. I heard he lost a lot of money gambling, and maybe he drank, maybe drugs, maybe just slacked off physically and mentally, maybe had other life distractions. It all adds up, and can further decrease durability.
Norris and McClellan were hungry young fighters. And good punchers.

What I didn't know is that Jackson was coming off double retina surgery and apparently was nigh on blind around that time.

G-Man was nothing special IMO, though that's another thread entirely:good
