Azumah Nelson vs Jeff Fenech 2 also comes to mind as Fenech had never really been hurt before.

Lou Ambers faced a litany of great fighters (Armstrong, Canzoneri, McLarnin, Arizmendi to name some) and fought over 100 bouts without ever being stopped until he faced the murderous punching Lew Jenkins who stopped him twice (once for his Lightweight title).

And I don't...that fight didn't smell right...failed the "nose test" even on radio...which was where I listened to it live back on May 25 1965. Subsequent and repeated viewings of that fiasco merely confirmed to me what a fake it was. The "fight" stinks to high heaven for the ages IMO. The ko loss to Martin was Liston's first and only real ko defeat....IMO of course.
