When Briggs got on the scales for the weigh-in I thought it was clever of him too (ie weighing in within the cruiser limit but not at the catchweight). But looking at his condition bodywise immediately pre-fight, and hearing later how badly he'd trained prior to the debacle, his weight should have rung alarm bells to us. In hindsight it's surely just a further example of how totally unprepared Briggs was for the fight.
