Did we not already learn this timeless lesson a few weeks ago? I love GGG's game, very crowd pleasing. But no way does he beat the defensive genius that is Ward.

Trust me, I like GGG more than Ward, it aint happening. Same reason why I knew my beloved Lakers were going to get destroyed in 2004 against Detroit, same reason why I knew my Broncos were going to get destroyed by Seattle in the superbowl, and same reason I knew my man Manny wasn't going to be able to catch Floyd.

If there is any one, cruel lesson sports have taught me is that GREAT DEFENSE>GREAT OFFENSE

    This is so unbelievably ignorant.

You realize the greatest fighter ever was an offensive fighter?

Chicago Bulls just got fisted real hard.

You gotta be good in all departments to be the best. SRR had greater offence than defence.

Yes, in most sports typically "offence wins games, defence wins championships". It hasn't always been the case though in boxing and tennis. These two sports see a great balance in what prevails out of offence and defence.

I don't think it's as simple as defense > offense, but I do think Ward would beat GGG at this point.
