Hold on, I hate to be seen as an apologist for King and I generally tend to be far from that, although there is plenty he does behind the scenes that most will never know of. Plenty was made of the fact King entered with McLellan and left with Benn. There was no way that King would have known the full extent of the injuries at the time and also no way he would have been allowed to travel in the ambulance to the hospital. He was a smart businessman, yes. But don't forget there is plenty of footage of Kin sitting in his tux at the hospital waiting for news, he also contributed significantly to McLellan's hospital bills

Excellent read & vid Jet.......thanks mate. Interesting in the vid to hear Steward say out of all the fighters that came thru the kronk days, Gerald had the most natural violent streak in him. He definately had a mean demeanour which probably accounts as to why he never took the knee earlier. But what must have he been feeling to finally take that knee one will never know. It was a great fight but also one that shows not everything always goes to plan the way one wants it too in a fight.

the G-Man was a BEAST,he would of gone down as one of the greatest middle/supermiddle weights ever, power, speed, and a **** load of agression,at that period in time idk who would of stopped him?
Also apparently Benn is moving to Australia?

I think you are going a bit overboard with this statement.

Once again u have no idea lol.. Prove me wrong mate
what/which fights of McClellan have u seen?
When he beat the olympic silver medalist(should have been gold) Jones Jr?
Or when he Ko'd one of the greatest Knockout artists ever in Julian Jackson?,taking his biggest/best shots and walking straight through them....Twice btw
Or was it when he ripped John Mugabi, another one of the greatest Knockout artists(39 kos in 42 wins),a new arse hole within 1 round?
Or was it any of the 20 1st round Ko's out of the 29 in 31 wins?

Roy Jones would have comfortably beaten Gman at 168 imo if they fought on points. Beating someone in the amatuers means nothing when you then fight as pros.

The first Julian Jackson fight was great and a to and fro fight until the ending which was in rd 5 from memory. Jackson had Gman visibly hurt on 2 different occasions. It was a close fight. Gman did destroy him in the rematch. Jackson was 33/34 for these fights whereas it was prime Gman.

I was a fan of him like you but imo from what I saw of him to say he would have been one of the greatest ever at 160 + 168 is going too far.
