Froch said Spike is a domestic level fighter and I have seen nothing from Spike to disagree with that so the question now is what level is Jr?

In general i agree but bear in mind fighters these days fight so little and have such weak cvs that its very hard to make definitive statements about what level they're at.

I regard both as 'unproven'. Spike is a proven 'can-crusher' and CEJ is a bit more proven having fought Billy Joe and Chudinov. We will know more in December....:thumbsup

Either way, if Jnr beats Spike, I can't see Jnr ever climbing into the upper echelons of the sport. The fact someone said Spike barely won a round vs. Billy Joe and Jnr gave him a better fight is a valid one, but I'm still staying with Spike

I see where you're coming from, and whilst I agree that he will deal with Spike, I'm not buying in to CEJ being the next big thing.

There are obvious strengths in his game, but I just don't think he is anything special. I see Booth getting involved as more of Booth paying the bills than being part of a journey - as let's face it, you're not going to get involved with the sort of baggage, by way of his dad, that Eubank Jr carries if there's not a massive £ incentive, which there is from the Sky hype train being in full effect.

For what it's worth I've actually got a newfound respect for CEJ - he by no means had to take the fight with BJS that early on in his career and in the recent interviews I've seen with him he actually comes across alright. I just hope his Dad stops trying to bath in the limelight and let him get on with it. I'm talking about standing right in the centre of the room next to Junior as he shadowboxed warming up for the fight on Saturday. Just let your lad get on with it ffs.

Point is, BJS definitely did tire, fatigue set in towards the end a bit and the ever powerful Eubank couldln't spark him...

Honest question, who would you favour in Spike vs Chudinov?

I'm pretty certain he'd be a clear underdog vs Chudinov.

IMO that's about right and I think Spike puts up a game first half of the fight before getting battered and stopped vs Eubank - but I am looking forwards to the fight!

Eubank cant outbox anyone. Hes a brawler. Nothing more nothing less. He might outslug and outwork Spike but hes not outboxing anyone with even mediocre skills.

Honest answer - Spike would stop Chudinov. For the following main reasons.
    1. Chu is far to light a puncher to keep Spike off
    2. He is too slow to out-slick Spike
    3. Spike hits him too easily and Spike hits very hard

(On the other hand BJS is/was all wrong for Spike and obviously Jr did bettter against him.)

Its entirely possible that Eubers can/will outwork the admittedly somewhat slow and stodgy Spike - swamp him with a blizzard of hooks - and prompt the ref to step in ....cant dispute that is a possibility.

Len you may hope Spike wins as you're doing a good job of bigging him up :yep
I like Spike and I definitely think his upper body movement has improved since BJS. There are the reports that he hits v.hard but can he catch Eubank flush?
I want Spike to win but I think Eubank nicks it on points
